Diversity of Amphibians and Reptiles in Phouchomvoy Provincial Protected Area, Bolikhamxay Province

Abstract

The Species Diversity of Amphibians and Reptiles in Phouchomvoy Provincial Protected Area in Khamkeut and Xaychamphone District, Bolikhamxay Province were studied in five years during 2017 to 2021. Field work was started at 19:00 to 22:30. Visual encounter survey technique was used for searching animals around logs, rocks and forests at stream bank. The result of this study could be classified amphibians into two orders: Anura and Gymnophiona, seven families, 21 genera, 36 species and Reptiles into one order, six families, 17 genera, 18 species. The study was found only one species as listed in the IUCN red list (Near Threatened; NT) such as Quasipaa verrucospinosa and two species listed in Appendix II of the List of Wildlife and Aquatic of Lao PDR Physignathus cocincinus and Ptyas korros. On the other hand, nine species are considered to be significant for conservation and seven species were frequently hunted for food and sold at markets in the locality.

ການສຶກສາຄວາມຫຼາກຫຼາຍທາງດ້ານຊະນິດຂອງສັດເຄິ່ງບົກ-ເຄິ່ງນ້ຳ ແລະ ສັດເລືອຄານໃນຄັ້ງນີ້ແມ່ນໄດ້ສຶກສາຢູ່ໃນປ່າສະຫງວນພູຈອມວອຍ, ເມືອງຄຳເກີດ ແລະ ເມືອງໄຊຈຳພອນ, ແຂວງບໍລິຄໍາໄຊ, ໃນລະຫວ່າງ ປີ 2017 ຫາ 2021. ດ້ວຍ​ວິ​ທີ​ກ​ານການຍ່າງສຳຫຼວດ ​ແບບພົບເຫັນສັດໂດຍກົງ, ພ້ອມ​ທັງ​ເກັບ​ຕົວ​ຢ່າງ ໂດຍດຳເນີນການໃນເວລາກາງຄືນ ເລີ່ມເວລາ 19:00 ຫາ 22:30. ຜົນຈາກການສຶກສາຄັ້ງນີ້ສາມາດຈັດຈໍາແນກສັດເຄິ່ງບົກ-ເຄິ່ງນ້ຳໄດ້ທັງໝົດສອງເຜົ່າ, 7 ຕະກຸນ, 21 ສະກຸນ, 36 ຊະນິດ ແລະ  ສັດເລືອຄານສາມາດຈັດຈໍາແນກໄດ້ໜຶ່ງເຜົ່າ, 6 ຕະກຸນ, 17 ສະກຸນ, 18 ຊະນິດ, ໃນນັ້ນພົບສັດທີ່ຈັດຢູ່ໃນບັນຊີແດງຂອງ IUCN 1 ຊະນິດທີ່ຈັດຢູ່ໃນສະຖານະໃກ້ຄວາມສ່ຽງຕໍ່ການສູນພັນ (Near Threatened; NT) ຄື: ກົບຜາ  ໜາມນ້ອຍ Quasipaa verrucospinosa ແລະ 2 ຊະນິດຖືກຈັດຢູ່ໃນບັນຊີສັດນໍ້າສັດປ່າປະເພດຄຸ້ມຄອງ ຫຼື ບັນຊີ II ຂອງກົດໝາຍວ່າດ້ວຍສັດນໍ້າ ແລະ ສັດປ່າຂອງລາວຄື: ກະທ້າງ Physignathus cocincinus ແລະ ງູສິງ Ptyas korros. ນອກຈາກນັ້ນພົບມີສັດ 9 ຊະນິດທີ່ມີຄວາມສຳຄັນຕໍ່ພື້ນທີ່ ແລະ ມີ 7 ຊະນິດພົບວ່າປະຊາຊົນ ນຳມາເປັນອາຫານບໍລິໂພກໃນຄົວເຮືອນ ແລະ ວາງຂາຍໃນຕະຫຼາດທ້ອງຖິ່ນ.
