Abstract

In this research project, the researchers aimed to find out the effectiveness of Learning - Teaching English Language management of First year students at the Faculty of Economics and Tourism, Souphanouvong University. The research consisted of five chapters (1-5). The instrument used for this study was a questionnaire which included 36 items to collect information to find the effectiveness of Learning - Teaching English Language management of First year students at the Faculty of Economics and Tourism with the total 161 participants who studied at first year students.  The data was analyzed by using program SPSS for Windows (Version 20 and Microsoft Excel 2022) to analyze information for frequency, average into percentage, mean value and standard deviation (S.D) of this research project.

The results of this research revealed that mixed methods of questionnaire and the active learning-teaching sessions to collect quantitative data that address at the purpose of study. The samples were students from Economics, General business administration, Tourism and Hotel, and Finance and Accounting Departments at the Faculty of Economics and Tourism. The Analysis of the data illustrated that the students at the Faculty of Economics and Tourism had a positive perspective towards four main components; namely, curriculum, textbook, learning, and teaching. The researchers found the perspectives towards the Learning - Teaching English Language management of First year students at the FET, SU. However, the majority of the respondents claimed that the perspectives towards curriculum was lowest level than three other kinds of students' opinion towards English learning - teaching management. In addition, the lowest effective opinion of students towards learning and teaching English language management were the purpose of this course is related to the students’ needs, this course provides students with an English background, Every month, has a monthly test to evaluate the results according to the curriculum plan, this course motivates students to learn English, and the last lowest one was this course helps students with basic knowledge of English to enter the labor market.
