Abstract

Covid-19 pandemic changed the teaching methodology of the teachers from face to face to online. Therefore, the teachers encountered various challenges. This research paper presents the challenges in online teaching faced by the teachers in the Faculty of Letters, NUOL. The researcher collected data by questionnaire from the 105 teachers in the Faculty of Letters. Microsoft Excel was used to analyze the collected data by calculating percentage, mean, standard deviation, t statistic, and p-value.

It was found that their students’ difficulties such as poor infrastructure, low technical skills (ICT skills), lack of motivation and discipline were one of the significant challenges for the teachers. It was also found that teachers faced significant challenges in time management and teachers’ condition such as psychological and physical.  Besides, teachers’ infrastructure, technical skill, communication, assessment and lesson content design were challenges for some teachers.
